Roland Alpha Juno 2 Analog Synthesizer
The Roland Alpha Juno 2 is the slightly upgraded version of the Roland Alpha Juno 1 analog keyboard synth. Features the same great sound as the Alpha Juno 1 but adds a bit of sheen by including: a 61-note keyboard that comes complete with velocity and aftertouch for more expressive playing, and a memory cartridge slot. There is a dial to control the amount of each parameter while editing sound parameters such as: the oscillators, cutoff, resonance, envelopes, LFO, Pitch bend, all waveforms listed below in the specs, PWM, high pass filter, A VCF filter cutoff, chorus and so on…
It produces excellent rave/old skoool sounds, including the fun hoover sound used by Dominator! Excellent effects due to a slow moving LFO. As with the Alpha 1 it’s best programmed with an external controller like the PG-300 by Roland or the Patch Editor made by Kiwi Technics to have more fun while programming…
FINAL WORD:
Solid polyphonic vintage analog synth sounds. Plenty of character with surprisingly big analog bass sounds!
